What the Health Canada label says it is for
1 INDICATIONS CADUET (amlodipine besylate/atorvastatin calcium) is indicated in patients for whom treatment with both amlodipine and atorvastatin is appropriate, specifically, patients at cardiovascular risk. CADUET is not for initial therapy. The dose of CADUET should be determined by the titration of individual components (see 4 DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION). 1.1 Pediatrics Based on the data submitted and reviewed by Health Canada, the safety and efficacy of CADUET in pediatric patients has not been established; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for pediatric use.
