What the Health Canada label says it is for
INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USE VISANNE (dienogest) is indicated for the management of pelvic pain associated with endometriosis. Efficacy of VISANNE has not been tested beyond 15 months. Geriatrics (> 65 years of age) VISANNE is not indicated for use in the geriatric population. Pediatrics (< 18 years of age) VISANNE is not intended for use prior to menarche. VISANNE has not been tested beyond 12 months in adolescents. VISANNE has been associated with plateauing and loss of bone mineral density (BMD) in adolescents.
