1 INDICATIONS SYMTUZA® (darunavir/cobicistat/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide) is indicated as a complete regimen for: • the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older with body weight at least 40 kg) and with no known mutations associated with resistance to the individual components of SYMTUZA®. For a description of the clinical data and dosing in support of this indication, refer to 4 DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION and 14 CLINICAL TRIALS. 1.1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (≥12 and <18 years of age with body weight ≥40 kg) Pediatrics (≥12 years of age with body weight ≥40 kg): Based on the data submitted and reviewed by Health Canada, the safety and efficacy of SYMTUZA in pediatric patients has been established. Therefore, Health Canada has authorized an indication for pediatric use.
