1 INDICATIONS
AA-IPRAVENT (ipratropium bromide inhalation solution) is indicated for:
• the treatment of bronchospasm associated with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
• the treatment of bronchospasm associated with acute severe exacerbations of bronchial
asthma when used in conjunction with a beta2 adrenergic agonist such as salbutamol.
AA-IPRAVENT inhalation solution must be administered by means of nebulizer using gas flow
(oxygen or compressed air).
1.1 Pediatrics
Pediatrics (<5 years of age): Based on the data reviewed by Health Canada, the efficacy and
safety of AA-IPRAVENT in children younger than 5 years have not been established.
1.2 Geriatrics
Geriatrics (≥65 years of age): Elderly patients can use AA-IPRAVENT at the recommended dose.

INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USE
TEVA-COMBO Sterinebs® (salbutamol sulphate and ipratropium bromide) Inhalation
Solution in unit dose vials is indicated for the management of bronchospasm in
patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who require
regular treatment with both ipratropium and salbutamol.
Treatment should be initiated and administered under medical supervision, e.g.
in the hospital setting. Home based treatment can be recommended in exceptional
cases (severe symptoms or experienced patients requiring higher doses) when a
low dose rapid acting beta-agonist bronchodilator has been insufficient in
providing relief after consultation with an experienced physician.
Administration should be stopped when sufficient symptom relief is achieved.
Pediatrics:
The efficacy and safety in children and adolescents under 18 years has not been
established. TEVA-COMBO Sterinebs® (salbutamol sulphate and ipratropium bromide)
Inhalation Solution is not indicated in this patient population.
