1 INDICATIONS LANVIS® (thioguanine) is indicated for: • the treatment of acute leukaemia. LANVIS is not recommended for maintenance therapy or similar long-term continuous treatments due to the high risk of liver toxicity. 1.1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (≤ 18 years of age): Liver toxicity has been observed in a high proportion of children receiving LANVIS as part of maintenance therapy. See 7.1.3 Pediatrics. 1.2 Geriatrics Geriatrics (≥ 65 years of age): Clinical studies of LANVIS did not include sufficient numbers of subjects aged 65 and over to determine whether they respond differently than younger subjects.
