INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USE Adults TEVA-OXYCOCET (oxycodone hydrochloride and acetaminophen) is indicated for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain, including conditions accompanied by fever. TEVA-OXYCOCET is not indicated as an as-needed (prn) analgesic. Geriatrics (> 65 years of age) In general, dose selection for an elderly patient should be cautious, usually starting at the low end of the dosing range, reflecting the greater frequency of decreased hepatic, renal, or cardiac function, concomitant disease or other drug therapy (see ACTION AND CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, Special Populations and Conditions, Geriatrics). Pediatrics (< 18 years of age) The safety and efficacy of TEVA-OXYCOCET has not been studied in the pediatric population.
