1 Indications NOVORAPID® (insulin aspart) is indicated for: • The treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus who require insulin for the control of hyperglycemia. NOVORAPID® should normally be used in regimens together with an intermediate or long-acting insulin. NOVORAPID® (10 mL vials) may also be used for continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) in pump systems which are licensed in Canada for insulin infusion. 1.1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (2-17 years of age): Evidence from clinical studies and experience suggests that use in the pediatric population is not associated with any differences in safety or effectiveness.
