Reason for Use code 23 As adjunctive therapy in the treatment of seizure disorders where control by other listed anticonvulsants has been unsatisfactory. Coverage limit: Because a large number of patients will become refractory to the anticonvulsant effects of the drug over a period of time, the effectiveness of this drug must be re-evaluated after a period of six months. INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USE TEVA-CLOBAZAM (clobazam) is indicated for: adjunctive therapy in patients with epilepsy who are not adequately stabilized with their current anticonvulsant therapy. Geriatrics (> 65 years of age): The efficacy of TEVA-CLOBAZAM in adults aged 65 and over has not been established (see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS and ACTION AND CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY sections). Long-term use of TEVA-CLOBAZAM should be avoided in elderly patients.
