1 INDICATIONS pms-QUINAPRIL (quinapril tablets) is indicated for: • Hypertension: treatment of essential hypertension. It is usually administered in association with other drugs, particularly thiazide diuretics. • Congestive Heart Failure: treatment of congestive heart failure as adjunctive therapy when added to diuretics and/or digitalis glycosides. The safety and efficacy of quinapril tablets in renovascular hypertension has not been established; therefore, use in this condition is not recommended. Treatment with pms-QUINAPRIL should be initiated under close medical supervision. 1.1 Pediatrics (<18 years of age) Pediatrics (<18 years of age): No data are available to Health Canada; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for pediatric use. 1.2 Geriatrics (> 65 years of age) Of the total number of subjects in clinical studies of quinapril tablets, 21% were ≥65 years old.
